Mali Akpolat was born in Bursa, Turkey. From childhood, his talent for music was evident. He sang in choirs, played in theater plays and danced in folk dance teams throughout his school life.
When he started playing guitar, he was influenced by names such as Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Serdar Öztop, Demir Demirkan. He studied at the Modern Music Academy in Istanbul, with important musicians of Turkey such as Serdar Öztop, Bora Uslusoy, Çağdaş Özmen, Şevket Akıncı, and graduated from the electric guitar department. He released two singles with the music group KAFILE. He played concerts in the important concert halls of Turkey, played in many festivals.
In addition to teaching guitar to his students in his own studio, he also works as a producer and sound engineer.
In 2020, he became a finalist in the TBD-Halıcı Computer Music Competition by staying in the top 10 with his own composition Voice of Babylonia.
